Gore must foresake all modern instruments

The title is somewhat in jest.

Conservative group Tennessee Center for Policy Research rapped the knuckles of the former VP and former supposed-to-be President (how does that joke go?) for his house ingesting way too much electricity.

Per an AP report:

Utility records show the Gore family paid an average monthly electric bill of about $1,200 last year for its 10,000-square-foot home.

The Gores used about 191,000 kilowatt hours in 2006, according to bills reviewed by The Associated Press. The typical Nashville household uses about 15,600 kilowatt-hours per year.

Gore’s camp (does the camp use butane lights?) counters that the Gore family uses plenty of renewable energy and his investments in alternative resources balances his electrical expenditures. Expect more attacks on the personal lives of environmental activists. It may not be completely fair, but it is fair game, and Gore show know that.
