How the right wins
Watching Fox and Friends the morning after the Democratic debate, it became so clear how conservatives can so easily pillory the left on global warming.
One of the three lead (lead!) stories was how the candidates flew private jets to the debate. And so it goes. Anyone who suggests taking a serious look at human involvement in climate change or advocates a greener future is declared hypocritical for using combustible engines. Anyone who stays silent receives no scrunity.
Now, I’m all for politicians getting tough questions if they’re telling the populace to conserve while they are lavishly spending, but, Presidential candidates, as a rule, do not fly coach. The Republican candidates will not fly coach.
I’m fine with it if the people want them to airplane-pool to debates. Let’s just make sure everyone does it.
